Voluntary Projects Overseas is a trading name of Que Rico! a UK registered NGO we are 100% Committed to fighting injustice and for an end to poverty - Join our fight.
Our History
Like you we’ve donated, we’ve volunteered and we’ve seen out hard earned money go, well who knows where? So we formed Que Rico back in 2003 to support children with burns in Bolivia directly. It’s been a long journey since then and now our work focuses 95% on Cambodia, with a small programme working with street kids in Uganda - but one thing that’s struck us is the fact that change can happen and we’ve proved it.
But remember we are not a big multi national NGO, we don’t do politics or fight for policy change we leave the experts to do that and they do a damn good job, but we are good at working with you and working with local people to deliver change.
Our Vision
Unleash the potential of people and communities around the world to make positive change happen and see an end to poverty in all its forms.
Our Mission
We're an independent non-governmental organization dedicated to fighting poverty in all its forms. We work together internationally with local partners to achieve greater impact by our collective efforts.
Our Aim
To see an end to poverty in all forms by creating a direct link between people in the west and the projects in developing countries that require support. Thus helping to create a positive future free from poverty.
What we do
We work alongside and with skilled local partners and their teams in the global south to identify and build long term projects that tackle local problems.
We build skilled local teams in developing countries that identify key issues affecting poor communities and seek to find solutions to these problems by sourcing ongoing financial support and creating volunteering opportunities.
See our work yourself
Our work is different from many others as we offer you the chance to visit and take part in the work itself via our volunteer programme, instead of just simply asking you to give us money, that's very welcome too. This means you can see the vital work in action, either yourself or through the eyes of others.
